What I do
For work, I'm a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on front-end website development. I've primarily worked with two consulting companies: Insight and Future Wonder. more
Insight
I'm currently leading an Angular rewrite of their Deli/Bakery/Seafood department product dashboard. Before this, I dabbled in Android to help build a planning application.
Sunrise was a Kroger subsidiary created to display ads on grocery shelves. Here I worked with 2 other developers to build a React Native application. This application was used to setup advertising shelves.
Future Wonder
At Radius, I rewrote algorithms in python to analyze the cost of closing and moving military bases. I also used React/Electron for the application, and I managed two interns.
I worked alone on this project and built the dashboard seen here: menucalc.com. It's essentially a serverless Vue.js to create recipies and nutrition labels. I met weekly with the owner to demo work completed and understand new requirements.
This was a python and Angular application to query gene/genome/protien sequences. I worked closely with the owner to understand data and dashboard needs. I also managed an intern on this project.
Financial Services Client
This application handles millions of dollars of trades each month on the CME. I worked with Python, jQuery and React and consulted directly with the owner to understand business needs. I also helped fix any production issues that arose.
At Periodic I was a part-time contractor, where I helped add new features to the core web app and addressed issues in their scheduling application. I mostly worked in CoffeeScript, AngularJS and Node.
